Website is up!

Tue Sep 8, 2009, 8:24 AM
It's been a long time in the coming but it's finally here! The Divine Fire Studios website is up and running. A friend of mine helped me out with it and it's a full flash site but it needs A LOT of work still, and fine-tuning. It's slow and I have to deal with the pictures being stretched and things but I'm just happy to have something taking up some web space besides a starter page! So check it out and let me know what you think (but don't be too harsh, like I said it needs a lot of work!)
Also I've been trying to update my blog as often as possible so that's going as well. Check it out and let me know what you think!

Peace and Blessings all,

Eric

You never heard anything else from Wildstorm? They just picked up a newcomer named Cruddie Torian. They haven't said how they found him yet, but he's doing Gen 13 starting in Dec. Here's a sample:

You deserve a WS title!

Nope. I see why they choose him to do Gen 13. He's got that J.C. look, and we all know how popular his stuff was. But he seems pretty wet behind the ears. That's for your vote of confidence though, I appreciate it. But I just give it all to the Lord, if he wants me at Wildstorm then it will happen in due time, if not, then I'll go with his plan. He has yet to let me down.
But I'm almost done with the Hand of the Morningstar series, so I'll be free sometime next year. We'll see where and what I end up doing.
Thanks for keeping me updated though. You the man!

That's cool. I wish He wanted 'me' at Wildstorm. I'd love to be a writer for them.

I'm actually doing a book called Hand of the Morningstar right now. It's a manga-ish book and I'm almost done with all the books, there will be 8 in all. But you'll see plenty of Morningstar art on my page. So... yeah!! Thanks for your compliment!!
:iconstar-puppet:
oh wow, that's pretty cool!! :) do you have any tips for me to become a better artist?????

AND I'M SO SORRY IF I'M BUGGING YOU!!

I'll tell you what I tell most people. Study structure. George Bridgman. Structure is thinking through what your drawing and knowing masses. It will help tremendously with making things look full and real rather than flat and lifeless. Start there. Most people know how to draw, but they don't know why they're drawing what they're drawing. Why does the bicep look a certain way when you turn it, or a leg, etc. Those are the kinds of things that will make you a much better artist. Ask why. And if you have never drawn thing from life before do that. And train your eye to see it correctly. Match the positive and negative space. Turn it upside down, and backwards to make sure it looks right. You really can teach yourself if you study hard and practice enough. Be painfully honest with your work and get others who will be too. That'll get you where you want to be!! :)

Wow, that answer was a lot more better than the answers i got from other artists!! Thanks so much, and I'll definitely pick up a George Brideman book as soon as I can!! :)
