DESTINY & VALUE

Destiny: it is the same as purpose.

Destiny is fulfilling what you were made to do. If we have purpose then we have a destiny to fulfill.

If we were not created for a reason then life is meaningless.

Ahhhh…. But…if we were created with purpose then our lives have meaning, and just how much is for us to figure out by seeking it out, and in seeking it out we will find that it is limitless.

And thus we begin to find our purpose and to fulfill our destiny.

But to your surprise that is not where you will find your value and worth.

Is your value determined by what you do?

Is a man’s worth measured merely by what he brings to the table and accomplishes in his life?

Only if he was not created for something or someone higher.

It is easy to measure our value or worth simply by what we do. But when we die is that all that we are measured by. The Atheist or Evolutionist would say so, simply because after this life has ended there is nothing else. Everything is left on the table.
But if we were created by an Almighty Creator who loves us and instilled in us a transcendent value then there would be more to life as we will soon see. For why create something so valuable that will not last or will be so quickly tossed aside.

Now if God had created something that he did not love and something of transient value then he would not promise us eternal life, nor would he go through such pain in securing that promise for us. It would be easy to toss us aside and for our lives to end when we die, but that is not the case.

For God demonstrated his love for us in that while we were yet sinners He gave his only Son to died for us. “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life!” (John 3:16) And in knowing and understanding that, we will truly be rich. And in finding Him, we will truly find and know how much we are loved and worth, for our value and worth comes from Him who paid for us, and truly the price was infinite. For it is in Christ, “In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge (Colossians 2:3).”

We can measure ourselves by the price that was paid. And it was truely a great price, and that is the bigest and most profound understatement of all time.

This is a little devotion of mine. :)

Enjoy
